Yuke’s is back in action with D3Publisher as the editor of its new game titled Full Metal Schoolgirl. This action-shooter game will be released worldwide on October 23, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will have a regular digital edition and a Deluxe Edition, while a physical version of the standard edition will be released in Japan.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be a game-key card. Prices will be 6,980 yen / $49.99 for the Standard Edition and 9,460 yen / $64.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition will include, upon pre-order, the “Furball 3-color set” accessory, while the Deluxe Edition will include that DLC and also the “Don’t Mess with Me, Cat 3-color set.”
D3Publisher has already opened reservations for this game, which the company describes as a “brand-new explosive action shooter“. They also describe the game saying “Fight an Oppressive Corporation as Mechanized Heroines”, and it’s obvious they’ve captured players’ attention. The game’s story takes place in the year 2089 in a dystopian Japan where society has changed drastically. A corrupt corporation known as Meternal Jobz uses a zombified cyborg labor force to work for hours without rest. The protagonist, a “cyborg schoolgirl heroine,” will have to ascend the corporation’s 100-story skyscraper and eliminate all the undead salarymen in her path. Her objective will also be to take down the CEO and all the enemies she encounters, thus stopping their plans to destroy society.
“This is a game about rebellion and chaos,” said Nobuyuki Okajima, Producer at D3Publisher. It’s a thrilling close-quarters battle experience set in a brutal satire of late-stage capitalism powered by bullets, blades, and the support of your livestream audience.”
The heroine will have at her disposal a powerful arsenal of weapons, which can be enhanced with mechanical upgrades. The combat will be high-level, and the skyscraper itself seems to be changing dynamically. Every time we start climbing, we’ll find the skyscraper changes and the obstacle layout alters, always creating something new to surprise us. Therefore, we can expect Full Metal Schoolgirl to be a roguelike game where we have to start the journey again and again until we achieve our goal. It promises to be a lot of fun, as we’ll earn upgrades.
Additionally, D3Publisher mentions that the battles will be live-streamed, and we can gain followers as we defeat enemies. This will provide us with rewards and all kinds of materials that will allow us to improve our heroine. We will also receive live donations, which will help improve our progression. The viewer and livestream system will be very important in the development of Full Metal Schoolgirl.
