Furyu Corporation has officially launched Varlet, a brand-new high school RPG. The game is now available on the Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), and PlayStation 5. Players can purchase the game digitally across all platforms, with the Standard Edition priced at $59.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition available for $79.99, which includes an 80-page digital artbook, a 53-track digital album, and the exclusive “Monark & The Caligula Effect 2 School Uniform DLC”.
In addition, Furyu announced a special early purchase bonus cosmetic DLC, available until Sept. 27. Those purchasing from the PlayStation Store will receive the Winter Color School Uniform for the Hero, while Nintendo eShop buyers will get the Autumn Color School Uniform for the Hero.

At the heart of Varlet lies its dynamic Triad Stats system, which influences character growth based on the player’s choices. The system is divided into six distinct attributes, split between Light and Dark Triad traits. Light Triad stats focus on morality, empathy, and selflessness, while Dark Triad stats delve into Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and narcissism. Throughout their time at school, players will face various scenarios that require decisions, each affecting the protagonist’s personal Triad. These choices can open up new possibilities in combat, with the Dark Triad unlocking powerful offensive abilities, while the Light Triad offers significant buffs to support allies or even unlock unique options not typically available in the main storyline.
Set in the halls of Kousei Academy, the game introduces the cutting-edge cross-reality virtual network known as “Johari”. This app is used for everything from gathering information and making purchases to social networking and messaging. However, it also fuels a growing obsession with approval and attention among students. As the pressure mounts, an urban legend starts circulating—users who crave too much attention may vanish into mysterious “Glitches”. Even more disturbing, monsters within these Glitches are rumored to replace their real-world counterparts, leaving no one the wiser.
The protagonist quickly learns that the urban legend is no mere myth, as some students have already been replaced by terrifying monsters. This revelation forces them to take action. As a member of Student Support Services (SSS), a guild focused on resolving the academy’s mysteries, players must help their friends, build strong relationships, and fight to defend the school from the looming threat.
