Pahdo Labs, an independent studio made up of former developers from Capcom, WayForward, and Riot Games, has officially released its co-op roguelite, Starlight Re:Volver, in Early Access. Available now on Steam for PC, the game is being offered at a special launch price of $19.99 for a limited time. This Early Access release comes on the heels of the game’s success during Steam Next Fest, where it stood out as one of the Top 10 Most Played demos of the event.
Starlight Re:Volver is a 1-4 player co-op action roguelite set in a nostalgic, anime-inspired world. Team up with other Divers in the vibrant city of Nishi Island Metropolis (NIM) and journey through surreal biomes, diving into exciting adventures, minigames, fishing, and crafting.
The game unfolds between the bustling, high-tech city of NIM and So Mi, a mystical, dreamlike dimension that powers the city’s growth. As Divers, players wield powerful devices known as “Re:Volvers” to leap between these two realms, exploring and breaking through the boundaries of reality in search of hidden treasures.
Drawing inspiration from the enchanting works of manga legends Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon) and Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha), Starlight Re:Volver is a heartfelt tribute to the anime and video games of the ’90s and early 2000s, beloved by the Pahdo Labs team. Embracing these influences, the game showcases vibrant, exaggerated combat that brings the world to life. Players can also personalize their character’s appearance and abilities, crafting unique builds that align with their own playstyle while complementing their co-op multiplayer team.
