A new cozy game is on the way, and it looks really promising. It’s titled Little Problems: A Cozy Detective Game, and as of today, we know it will be available starting September 9, 2025 published by Amplified Games. In this game, players will encounter the first creation of Posh Cat Studio, a new female-led Indonesian developer.
Although the first game they were going to work on at Posh Cat Studio was going to feature a crime and horror setting, the team realized that immersing themselves in this type of setting for an extended period of time might not be good for their mental health. Therefore, and although their passion for Lovecraft was strong, they decided to explore their passion for the detective genre in a different way. This is how this cozy game was born, which has a very interesting look and in which they must accompany Mary as she faces life’s “little problems.”
Throughout the game, Mary, who has just entered university, will have to solve small, everyday problems, such as oversleeping, missing the first lecture of the day, or encountering other obstacles. The game’s cozy nature promises a fun experience that, at the same time, will inspire good feelings in the players’ hearts.
Melisa, Lead Developer and Founder at Posh Cat Studio, said about the game:
“We turned to cozy games and cute pictures to escape the blood and gore. Little Problems was born out of a love for wholesome, safe and approachable content but still with a passion for investigation and detection. Little Problems focuses on solving mysteries based on life’s minor inconveniences and everyday misunderstandings, and of course, little problems.
In Little Problems, detective work is about connecting with friends, understanding the small yet significant issues of daily life and finding joy in the simplicity of resolution. It’s not about saving the world, it’s about enriching it, one little problem at a time.”
Also, Samantha Ebelthite, Founder of Amplified Games, said:
“I’ve loved working in the video games industry for years, and I’ve always been passionate about helping great games find their audience. Indie developers are at the heart of creativity in gaming, and at Amplified Games, we want to give them the support they need to thrive.
I’m especially excited to be working with the talented team at Posh Cat Studio who have created a wonderful cozy detective game everyone will love to play.”
Little Problems: A Cozy Detective Game will be available on Steam and will feature text in English and Simplified Chinese.
