Mars Attracts, the park management game set in the universe of the film Mars Attacks, will be arriving in Early Access on Steam on September 16, 2025. To celebrate, the team behind the game has released a new teaser trailer that showcases a wide range of previously unseen elements, including missions, new maps, characters, and buildings. All of this content will be included in the Early Access build.
The game’s developers, the Outlier team, were present at Gamescom and received positive reviews from attendees. They particularly highlighted its dark sense of humor, deep mechanics, and the game’s experiment system. Additionally, it has been announced that users will be able to get the recently announced Supporter’s Edition, a version of the game that will include the following content:
- An hour long behind the scenes featurette
- The game’s soundtrack
- A 56 page artbook packed full of never-before seen concept art, illustrations and character design
- A bonus human enclosure and special character – the Space Age
Early Access for Mars Attracts is expected to last about nine months, with development following a player-guided approach. Fans can have their say on new features and tweaks to existing elements through the studio’s Discord. This input will play a major role in shaping the development roadmap, with the Outlier team keen to let the community have their say in shaping the game they want to play.
About Mars Attracts
Mars Attracts is a theme park management sim where you play as the aliens from Mars Attacks. Players will build rides, hire and train staff, manage guest needs, and most importantly – abduct humans from across history to serve as the star attractions!
Mars Attracts combines the rich systems and in-depth management simulations familiar to fans of games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, Theme Hospital and Zoo Tycoon with the retro futuristic, B-movie inspired style and darkly mischievous humor of this beloved IP.
Mars Attracts was revealed in 2024 with a teaser trailer which racked up over 1 million views on YouTube. The demo featured in Steam Next Fest in June 2025 and proved to be a big hit with both players and streamers. The game will be released on Steam in Early Access later this year.
