Bath balls are very popular among Japanese children, as the ofuro is a Japanese tradition enjoyed by the whole family and always eagerly awaited. Little ones put one bath ball and are not only surprised by the color the water takes on, but also by the gift that appears inside. Pokémon, of course, is very popular among the many bath balls available.
Because of this, a new Bikkura Egg Bath Popping Pokémon collection has just been released by Bandai Namco, in which bath additives are used to represent some of the Pokémon’s attack moves. To kick off the “On a Starry Night” collection, The Pokémon Company has designed an “aquatic” version of the “Speed Star” move.
The brand says that even when the ball dissolves, you can still enjoy the Speed Star effect in the water. The scent is lavender and the color is violet. Inside is a random Pokémon figurine from five different models: Pikachu, Clefairy, Umbreon, Marill, and Mew. As you can see in the photos, all the figures are characterized by having a star base.
Each bath ball costs 715 yen and is available at toy stores, pharmacies, baby product stores, department stores, and even electronics stores. If you visit Japan, this would make a great gift for your friends, and if you’ve never had a Pokémon bath ball, this would definitely be one of the best. Although the figures in bath balls aren’t usually very large, the 715 yen range is usually for medium-sized figures, larger than those in bath balls that sell for 400-500 yen. The highlight of this Pokémon collection is that, as you can see in the photos, the level of detail in the figures is truly remarkable, as is the excellent painting.
