At OJGamers, we love Japanese arcade games, and among other things, we’re enthusiastic about games that use collectible cards. Himitsu no Aipri is an arcade game from the Pretty Series universe that enjoys great popularity in Japan. It was released on April 7, 2024, as the successor to Waccha PriMagi!, paving the way for the Takara Tomy franchise created in 2010 with the arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Mini Skirt.
Himitsu no Aipri’s popularity has been cemented through a multitude of card collections, with this arcade version featuring the idols’ outfits and uniforms predefined on the card. This eliminates the need to make combinations, which in 2024 was welcomed as a breath of fresh air. Two other factors have also contributed to the game’s popularity: its anime series, which has already aired 73 episodes, and the collaborations it is starring in.
Specifically, at the Tokyo Toy Show 2025 on August 28th, news was announced for Himitsu no Aipri. The most important is the crossover the arcade game will have with Aikatsu!, one of its main rivals. The collaboration will be available starting October 2nd and will primarily promote the release of the film Aikatsu! x PriPara The Movie – The Miracle of Encounter!, which hits Japanese theaters on October 10th. As a result of this collaboration, Akari Ozora from Aikatsu! will appear in the game.
As part of the collaboration, the protagonists of Himitsu no Aipri will be able to obtain the Akari Ozora costume, while it will also be possible to dance to her song, “Start Dash Sensation ~Akari Solo Ver.” Players who choose this song will find Akari herself appearing on screen to cheer on players.
Another new feature of Himitsu no Aipri will be the collaboration with the idol group Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu. Thanks to this collaboration, the group will perform the anime’s ending song “Cinderella no Lalala♡,” and all the group members will even appear in the anime’s 80th episode. According to them, the experience of providing voices for an anime series has opened their eyes to the great complexity of a job like this.
