From Japan comes a new demo that you’ll want to try if you love visual novels. The game is titled The World Well: Blood of Caro and, developed by 2P Games and Beep, introduces players to a dark, retro-punk gothic world with anime-style storytelling. Its key elements, as the publisher points out in the published press release, include moral choice and magic-fueled technology, as well as an instantly captivating character design. The year is 814 R.E. on the continent of Redimus, where vampire aristocrats rule an empire of slaves and sinners. Humans are bred as living blood banks, while the church sanctifies their suffering in the name of divine order.
In this world of rusted miracles and forbidden magic, two outcasts form an uneasy alliance:
- 4, a half-blood assassin known as a Caro, created to be consumed and now turned killer.
