Capcom had more than one surprise in store for the start of the public days of Tokyo Game Show 2025. One of them is Resident Evil RE:2 Arcade, a project coming to game centers through Bandai Namco. Capcom chose to entrust Bandai Namco with its role because it’s a leading specialist in gun games, ensuring that this adaptation of Resident Evil 2 will cause a stir.
The machine will follow the style of other recent arcade games and will include a system that emits wind and moves depending on what happens on screen. This allows for greater interaction during the game. From what has been seen, and as is logical, one player will play Claire and the other will play Leon.
The first location test of the machine will take place in winter 2025 in North America, while in Japan it will be tested in spring 2026. It seems to be already being tested in some places, judging by the videos circulating online. One of its unique features is that players won’t be seated as usual, but will instead play standing up, Time Crisis style. In the videos on YouTube the game is called Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot.
