Time is fast approaching for the release of Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC, the new version of the classic game that will be released on September 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. To celebrate, Bandai Namco Entertainment America has released a new trailer showcasing the game’s new features and enhancements.
This remake revives one of the most beloved Pac-Man games while maintaining the fun of its action-platformer gameplay, which includes references to classic Pac-Man games. Among other things, the remake offers greatly improved graphics, all-new gameplay mechanics, expanded levels for even more fun, and voices for all the main characters.
About Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC
Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC modernizes the game play of the original while faithfully retaining its charm. Players can now perform new actions to take on foes including Super Butt Bounce, Ice Skating, Pac-Marine and more. They also get enhanced mechanics such as the Flip Kick and Snorkeling. A new Fairy Mode makes the game approachable for more players by making it easier to traverse platform puzzles and making Pac-Man impervious to certain hazards and attacks.
Boss battles have been updated, and new bosses have been added to the game. An improved new Time Attack Mode lets players compete for global leaderboards by speedrunning levels. Additional features that add endless fun and replayability to the game include three classic Pac-Man titles – the original Pac-Man, Pac-Attack, and Pacmania – available to play in the Village arcade as well as Gashapon machines where players can spend earned in-game coin S for collectible figures.
Originally released in 2002, Pac-Man World 2 puts players in the role of the iconic character, embarking on a journey across Pac-Land. Players will navigate through six unique worlds, with environments such as meadows, an ice peak, and a volcano, while facing off against the Ghosts and their boss Spooky.
For the first time in the Pac-Man World series, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC also introduces a 2-player couch co-op mode, allowing players to experience the journey across Pac-Land together.
