Nintendo continues to celebrate the launch week of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Nintendo Switch 2 with new initiatives. This time, it’s announced that, between August 22 and Tuesday, March 17, 2026, it will be possible to ride the Kirby Train. This train is designed through a collaboration between Nintendo and Hankyu Railway, giving rise to its name, Hoshi no Kirby x Hankyu Railway.

The Kirby Train will run on three different lines during its availability period: Kobe Line, Takarazuka Line, and the Kyoto Line. On the Hankyu Railway website, you can check the schedules to find out when the Kirby Train will be available to view, while there are also tips for those who want to take photos of the trains.

Each line has a different design on the exterior of the train, while inside, the cars have been decorated with posters that recount the long history of a character who has accompanied us since the days of the NES and Game Boy. Along with this, it has been announced that the trains will feature Kirby plush toys with his conductor’s hat and Waddle Dee. The Kirby plush toy will be in the driver’s cabin to give the impression that he’s driving the train, which is sure to please children.

Additionally, between September 2 and November 24, there will be a stamp rally in which Kirby fans can collect up to seven stamps across Hankyu lines. Collecting four of the seven stamps will allow you to receive the limited-edition gift below, created for the occasion. Additionally, at each stamp location, there will be a photo spot for children to enjoy.

Kirby Train Pass Day

Another initiative is a day pass with an original Kirby design, which can be used on all Hankyu trains and buses. Hankyu staff recommends this, for example, if you’re taking the stamp tour. During the stamp tour, Hankyu stations and stores will feature personalized Kirby music that inspires train-related sensations. As if that weren’t enough, Hankyu stations will sell 28 exclusive collaboration merchandise, including Kirby plush toys. There will also be a special gashapon featuring Kirby as a train driver and limited-edition food items at convenience stores and restaurants, such as Kirby driver onigiri and Kirby Train drink cans.

Finally, there will be custom editions with special Kirby livery at Hankyu Sanban-gai and NU Chayamachi buildings, as well as custom buses and other Kirby initiatives and activities.
