Over the past two days, K-pop group Twice has kicked off the promotional campaign for “This is For”, their 4th full album. They first posted a short 20-second teaser on YouTube titled “We Do Us.” They then moved on to a longer 1:01 minute video where we can see each member of the group performing an activity, often with a certain serious and hard-to-decipher attitude.
For this return to action, Twice is making it clear that the group will be undergoing a significant change of style, especially visually. The first teaser shows a striking, iconic style, with pastel colors, neon tones, and color tints that make the girls’ appearance completely different from what was expected. The group is already a veteran of the K-pop industry and is eager to try new things.
With their second video, they demonstrate the maturity of their personalities and how they are no longer the innocent girls who first became known to the world on South Korean television in a reality show. Fans are already placing bets on who will shine the most in this new phase of the group, and most of the bets from the members of Once, the group’s fandom, are placed on Tzuyu and Jeongyeon. The latter starred alongside Chaeyoung and Jihyo in the Netflix KPOP film Demon Hunters and is having an excellent time. The world has rediscovered a singer with a fantastic voice and who, along with Jihyo and Nayeon, stands out the most in the vocals.
For now, Twice’s 4th full album, “This is For”, is now available for preorder at major retailers, with a release date set for July 11. Therefore, Twice fans are just days away from reconnecting with the group’s music. Barring any surprises, JYP Entertainment’s YouTube channel will continue to be updated with new videos in the coming days.
Regarding the physical edition of the album, there will be three main editions: “This”, “Is”, and “For”. Each will be available signed or not signed, and there will also be two special vinyl versions: Honeydew Glitter Vinyl and Dragonfruit Glitter Vinyl. Along with this, a simpler Digipack edition and a special Confetti version will also be released.
