The developers of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind have taken note of player requests. That’s why this week they’re releasing a major update that will make playing much more varied and exciting. To achieve this, the protagonists will be able to improve their skills and, thanks to the addition of morphers, enjoy more variety. In addition, special movements are also included that will make combat and the overall gaming experience much more dynamic and not so flat.
To start, the new skills system allows you to customize the rangers by distributing points in three categories: strength, speed or defense. Thanks to this, we can make each ranger exactly how we imagined, such as faster, stronger or balanced in all their features. In addition, morphers are modifiers that have the ability to alter speed or gravity, among other factors.
These new elements will greatly vary the game experience, but at Digital Eclipse they don’t want anyone to be unhappy. For this reason, they have announced that it will be possible to play with the new version of the rangers, the customizable one, or play in the classic way as the game was originally available. This will mean that the rangers will be, in all cases, balanced and that they will not have any development of their skills.
On the other hand, two new movements have been added. Power Blast is the classic attack of great force that allows you to attack a large group of enemies in exchange for sacrificing a little life. It is a common movement in beat’m ups that should not be abused, but that could save you in risky situations. The other new movement is Ground Recovery, which allows you to recover from a fall and attack again quickly. To use it, you have to press the button precisely just when you are falling. The objective of this movement is to be able to maintain the speed of the combats so that the pace of the games does not slow down.
In addition, in spring there will be another update. In this case, the multiplayer mode will evolve to be more dynamic. Currently, there is a limit of three players per console for matches of up to six players at once. With the update, up to six consoles can be used, each with one player.
The first users to receive these updates will be those playing on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while those on Nintendo Switch will have to wait a little longer. The good news is that the physical version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will include all of these new features directly on the disc. Its release is expected on May 30.
